Most of us can agree that outside of picking outfits, packing can feel overwhelming. Whether you’re embarking on a weekend getaway or an extended adventure abroad, having the right essentials can make all the difference in ensuring a smooth and enjoyable trip. From practical items that keep you organized to fun gadgets that enhance your experience, this list of must-have travel items will help you pack smart and travel with confidence.
1. Reliable Luggage
If you’re anything like me, a backpack will never be enough for any trip. For my fellow over-packers, I highly recommend the DELSEY Paris Clavel Luggage Set. I don’t leave for any trip without it! It’s hardside, making it durable for long-haul flights, and it’s expandable with built in locks for extra security.
2. Outlet Adapters
Outlets differ outside of the United States, so unless you want a dead phone or no hot tools, this one isn’t negotiable. I ordered a two pack. These are the best, because each outlet comes with multiple different ports, including USB and a standard outlet allowing you to charge multiple devices at once! The specific outlets that I have linked above, allow you to charge six items at once!
3. Portable Chargers
Chances are your trip is going to be jam-packed with early mornings and late nights. A portable charger is an essential. You won’t be near outlets and this will ensure that you always have a charged phone. I recommend this two pack to be extra safe— you’ll never catch me in a foreign country with a dead phone!
4. LED Selfie Light
Do it for the gram! For your once in a lifetime trip, you’ll want once in a lifetime photos. The selfie light I use has multiple different settings and lighting tones. It easily clips to my phone and is rechargeable, making it perfect for any trip.
5. Travel Laundry Bags
No one wants to confuse their dirty laundry with their clean clothes, especially while traveling. These reusable travel laundry bags are a no brainer. These are hands down the best way to keep your clean clothes fresh while containing the scent of the dirty ones.
6. Pill Organizer
Traveling doesn’t mean that you have to forfeit your supplement routine. Here is my favorite pill organizer, that helps me stay consistent with my supplement routine when I travel. This case is compact and makes it easy to keep track of your daily vitamins.
7. Bluetooth Headphone Adapter
Long flights equal lots of movies and music. The headphones that airlines provide can be super uncomfortable after a while, but with the Airfly you can use your wireless headphones to watch movies during your flight!
8. Reusable Water Bottle:
Unlike in the States, many places overseas will charge for water. With a reusable water bottle, you can fill it up before you leave your hotel in the morning. I love my Hydro Flask, and if you go with that, don’t forget the reusable straw lid for convenience.
9. Passport Case
Your passport is your lifeline when traveling abroad, so it’s crucial to keep it protected. I personally like to have mine with me at all times, which is why I use this passport case that doubles as a wallet. It keeps all my credit cards, ID, and passport securely organized in one place.
10. Fanny Pack
Fanny packs are the better choice when traveling, because you can wear them in front of you. I’ve been rocking my Lululemon Everywhere Belt Bag, because it’s big enough to hold all of my essential belongings, including my iPhone 13 Pro Max, and simple enough to go with any outfit.
With the right gear in your suitcase, you can focus on what truly matters: creating unforgettable memories on your journey. Each of these essentials is designed to enhance your travel experience, making your adventures more enjoyable and hassle-free. So, as you prepare for your next trip, remember to pack these items to ensure you’re ready for anything that comes your way. Safe travels!
